Eyecare for Care Homes
Maddox Eyecare offer quality eye care to those residents unable to attend an optician unaccompanied due to physical or mental disability. Professional and caring, we aim to make the process as simple as possible for both you and your residents.
Put an end to unidentified glasses….we mark frames with name, year and purpose of use…all at no extra charge!!
Making the process simpler for you…
With your own personally appointed optometrist you will have a direct point of contact with a guaranteed reply to any query within 90 minutes. As your optometrist will perform all eye tests and return to fit any necessary spectacles themselves, you and your residents will experience an unrivalled continuity of care… and being local only makes things easier.
To further aid your staff our optometrist will complete a report for each patient, separate to their spectacle prescription. This will include an ‘easy to understand’ summary giving simple advice tailored to each individual. Not wanting to end there, we’ll even include a copy of our publication, ‘Eyecare, a Carer’s Perspective’.
Simply call 01242 282059 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a visit. 48 hours notice is required by the NHS before we can attend. This increases to 3 weeks if more than two residents are to be seen on the same day.
If new spectacles are required we carry a large selection of frames and lenses to meet all budgets (see Sample Frames). This includes a range of spectacles that are free of charge to those residents receiving the appropriate NHS benefit.
Once any required spectacles have been manufactured your personal optometrist will deliver them and make sure they fit correctly. Should any problem arise in the next 12 months we are only a phone call away.
